Our Speaker this month is: Calvin W. Goings

As Regional Administrator for Region 10, Calvin W. Goings is responsible for overseeing President Obama’s small business programs and services in the four state region of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Goings served in key executive positions with the Washington Credit Union League. As Senior Advisor to the President and the Executive Director of the League’s non-profit Foundation, Goings focused on supporting small businesses and emerging markets. Before his work in the private sector, Goings served in elected office for nearly two decades, as a County Council Member, Washington State Senator and as a County Fire Commissioner.

Regional Administrator Goings has been involved over the years with numerous community and volunteer organizations, including the local Chamber of Commerce, Urban League, Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, and the American Heart Association. A third generation resident of the state of Washington, Goings together with his wife Amy, and their five-year-old son William, live on a small farm in the Summit-Waller neighborhood of Puyallup.
