Get ready for an unforgettable day in downtown Enumclaw, because this one’s going to the dogs in the best way possible.
This is the first ever Hounds Around Town, and we are bringing it to life in a big way. Think pups, people, community, and a whole lot of fun packed into one incredible afternoon.

Dog Costume Contest, bring the creativity, the flair, and the laughs
Dog + Hooman Contest, matching looks encouraged, personalities required
Look A Like Contest, because sometimes they really do start to resemble each other
Beyond the contests, the event will be packed with:

Paws and Pints Beer Garden
Dog training demonstrations
Music, entertainment, and plenty of tail wagging fun
Good to know:
Attending the event is completely free. Contest registration is only required if you would like to participate.

Is the event free to attend?
Yes! Hounds Around Town is free to attend for guests who want to come enjoy the vendors, demonstrations, music, food, and fun.
Do I have to register for contests?
Yes. Contest participation requires registration.
How much does contest registration cost?
Pre registration is $20
Day of registration is $25

Can I register the day of the event?
Yes, if space is available.
Are all dogs welcome?
Absolutely. We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, as long as they are friendly, healthy, vaccinated, and safely controlled by their owner.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes. There will be food vendors, treats, beverages, and the Paws and Pints Beer Garden for guests 21 and older.
Will there be activities besides the contests?
Yes! We will have vendors, music, training demonstrations, community booths, dog friendly activities, and more throughout the day.
Can kids attend?
Absolutely. This is a family friendly community event.
Can I bring more than one dog?
Yes, but please make sure you can safely manage all dogs you bring.
Dog Rules & Event Policies
To help keep Hounds Around Town safe, fun, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all attendees to follow these event rules:
Dog Requirements
Leashes Required
All dogs must remain on a non retractable leash at all times while attending the event.
Vaccinations
Dogs attending the event should be current on standard vaccinations, including rabies.
Friendly Temperament
Dogs must be social, non aggressive, and comfortable around crowds, noise, children, and other dogs.
Owner Responsibility
Owners are fully responsible for the behavior, safety, and control of their dogs at all times.
Clean Up Required
Please pick up after your dog immediately. Waste stations and trash receptacles will be available throughout the event.
No Dogs in Distress
If your dog becomes overly stressed, reactive, aggressive, or uncomfortable in the environment, we kindly ask that you remove them from crowded areas for the safety of all guests and pets.
Hydration & Heat Safety
Please monitor your dog closely for signs of overheating or fatigue. Water stations will be available, but owners are responsible for their dog’s wellbeing throughout the event.
No Retractable Leashes
For safety reasons, retractable leashes are discouraged in crowded event spaces.
Female Dogs in Heat
Please do not bring female dogs currently in heat to the event.
Breed Policy
Hounds Around Town welcomes all breeds. We believe responsible ownership matters more than breed stereotypes. Any dog displaying unsafe behavior may be asked to leave regardless of breed.
Event Safety Policy
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, dogs, vendors, volunteers, and downtown businesses, Hounds Around Town reserves the right to ask any attendee and/or dog to leave the event at any time if a dog demonstrates aggressive, disruptive, unsafe, or uncontrolled behavior.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs
• Excessive barking or lunging
• Snapping, growling, or biting
• Reactive or uncontrollable behavior
• Unsafe behavior determined by event staff or security
• Owners who are unable or unwilling to maintain control of their dog
Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for everyone attending. Thank you for helping us keep Hounds Around Town fun and safe for all.
Liability
Participation in the event is at your own risk. By attending, owners assume responsibility for their pets and any damage or injury caused by their dog.
